Home : Support : How To : Channel Letter Returns

Using the Channel Letter Return feature requires clean vector data for the bender, meaning no unnecessary lines or arcs, and no very small arcs or lines. Most artwork is made of bezier curves and lines, and a channel letter bender requires arcs and lines only. You can use the Vector Edit Tool to view the vector node handles. If you zoom in and see some areas that have tiny lines, beziers or arcs, they will be a problem for the bender and must be removed. You would see this is the channel letter return plot. You can use the Optimize Vectors command in the Tools menu to clean up of the data. Also, if coming from Adobe Illustrator, it has good tools for this, called Simpify.
